I played this character for the beginning of a campaign for a new DM, which doesn't sound like it will be continuing, unfortunately. As a dragon shaman, Durlok was designed for melee support, with some useful auras to help the party. Eventually he'd be getting breath weapons and stuff, but I doubt I'll get to play him again at all unless I convert him to a different campaign.
Durlok grew up in a dwarven mine or whatever like other dwarves. On some kind of trade expedition or something when Durlok was still young, the caravan was attacked by a blue dragon which called all or most of the other dwarves. As the dragon breathed a blast of lightning at Durlok, another dragon (a bronze one) swooped in and blocked the blast with its wing, saving Durlok's life. After that he emulated the bronze dragon to lend him the power to help people and stuff.
Durlok is pretty tough and can last pretty well in melee combat. His main purpose is to support the other melee fighters with his magical auras. That's about it.
Dates played: once in Winter 2006
Class levels: dragon shaman 1
Sweet traits: He had some good stats and kool class features from the dragon shaman class - he would have rocked if I'd got to level him up at all.
Sweet gear: he was just 1st level, so he didn't have any kool gear yet.
