Dorna, Ollam

Character synopsis

When I decided to let Bräelan retire from play, I ended up switching to two characters at the(once again we only had two players). Dorna is one of his daughters, and also a cleric of the dwarven pantheon. Bräelan may have been a better cleric overall, but she had a greater focus on healing spells so consequently she was better at that. She's also an ollam, which is a dwarven teacher of sorts. Basically, Dorna teaches and preaches. In-game, her cure spells were all that mattered. Semi-soonish she would have had a little bit of semi-bardic abilities with her oratory recitations, but it probably wouldn't have been that useful. She and her brother got retired from play during the siege of Braeslin Hall so I could switch to playing Thurik Winterchaser.

History / origin

Growing up a child of Bräelan Stonecarver, Dorna learned to love all things dwarven with a passion. At adulthood she joined the clergy and realized her life's calling of walking the mountain roads to visit dwarven villages and teach them about awesome dwarven things, especially dwarven religion. She always hoped to eventually settle down for the duty of raising a family, but stuck to the more immediate concern of her teaching and never found a husband. Eventually she joined Moradin's Hammerhearts and did a little adventuring with her brother, Belmarr, and the heroic Khalzar (David's character).

Descriptiony

Dorna is pretty LG, following the tenets of goodness, duty, family, and other dwarven stuff. She really liked to teach about history and religion as well as cure the sick or wounded.

Dates played: fall 2005 - spring 2006

Class levels: cleric 7 / ollam 3

Sweet traits: she had some very kool feats from Complete Divine that gave her different kinds of healing magic and made her traditional healing spells very good. She had big bonuses for knowledge(history) and knowledge(religion), as well as perform(oratory).

Sweet gear: The only interesting gear she had was some adamantine full plate.
