Bräelan Stonecarver, dwarf Runecaster

Character synopsis

Bräelan was the first character I created for the campaign that would later become Moradin's Hammerhearts, set in Mike's campaign setting, Jetherel. Bräelan was very old, which made him wiser, which made him better at being a cleric (i.e. the band-aid). His main purpose was definitely healing (he couldn't really fight) but he was also exceptionally good at carving stone and complaining about his joints, and in some ways I felt like he was the leader of the party back then.

History / origin

Bräelan has basically always lived in Citadel Khôrlad in whatever northern mountain range, though he did like to travel sometimes to see the glory of the world Moradin created (according to general dwarven lore). Eventually his interest in this lore got him to start researching the concept of runecasting, where one inscribes rune filled with magic power. In his old age, he took up adventuring to help the people of Shapra, and seems to head the sweet semi-religions all-awesome organization called Moradin's Hammerhearts.

Descriptiony

Bräelan held a fervent belief in all things dwarven. He was definitely a lawful good sort of fellow, though he could also be a little mischievous even in his old age. He was filled with dwarven wisdom in his old age and long tenure in the church of Moradin.

Sweet traits: very wise and good at casting spells - super duper at carving stone

Sweet gear: I don't remember him having any interesting gear...I guess he had pretty kool stonecarving tools, but I made them up (unofficial magic item)
