This was the character I created after coming to college and getting my first taste of the Eberron setting. He's a human psychic warrior who focuses on using light crossbows and psionic powers for maximum damage potential. He also ended up having one of his hands chopped off and reattached, newly zombified, which was pretty neat.
Artabrand grew up in Breland and had a pretty normal childhood. When he was old enough, he got conscripted into the military. They trained him in using the crossbow to support frontline troops, and he began to discover and expand some latent psychic ability. He didn't really see a lot of action (most of his service was after the Day of Mourning), just a little bit of skirmishing to defend against invading monsters from Droaam. After the Last War ended, he spent a little longer in the military, then turned to adventuring after his term of service was up. He got unfortunately mixed up with some Sharn gangs for a while, but eventually did mostly traditional adventuring stuff.
Artabrand believes Breland is probably the best nation, but he doesn't talk too much about politics or religion or anything like that. Mostly he just focuses on training with his crossbow and mental powers. He doesn't try to cause trouble, but he does enjoy the excitement adventures bring.
Dates played: winter 2004 - spring 2005
Class levels: psychic warrior 9
Sweet traits: He used Psionic Shot a lot to try and get pretty good damage dealt, though he had some useful psionic powers like Hostile Empathic Transfer.
Sweet gear:he ended up getting a pretty kool holy undead bane light crossbow +1 or something. Overall, his undead hand was his most interesting "gear."
